A formal evening dress designed by Ceil Chapman will be auctioned by Julien’s Auctions in Las Vegas on June 27. While still beautiful, this gown exhibits the abuse and neglect that a majority of Marilyn’s personal belongings were subjected to while in storage for nearly 40 years.

The coloring of this gown is spectacular. The golden hue and shimmering fabrics offered a fantastic coupling with Marilyn’s golden blond hair I’m sure.
