MARILYN MONROE: A PORTRAIT

In celebration of Marilyn Monroe’s centenary, London’s National Portrait Gallery presented Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait, a major exhibition exploring Marilyn’s life, image and enduring cultural legacy through photography, portraiture and personal objects.

The Marilyn Monroe Collection was honored to contribute more than 60 artifacts to the exhibition, offering visitors the opportunity to see objects that connected the iconic images of Marilyn with the woman behind them. Among the pieces on display were costumes and accessories, personal documents, scripts, cosmetics, photographs and other objects from Marilyn’s life and career.

Presented during the year marking what would have been Marilyn’s 100th birthday, the exhibition brought together extraordinary material to illuminate the many ways she was photographed, portrayed and ultimately remembered.
