This second Monroe book by David Wills (Marilyn Monroe: Metamorphosis) explores Marilyn’s unique relationship with the press (journalists, columnists and news photographers) and is filled with beautifully reproduced photos, vintage news articles, and scans of documents and other ephemera related to Marilyn. Robert Wagner wrote a very informative foreword, and it was quite surprising and incredible to see some new quotes by Pat Newcomb (who David interviewed for the book). The book’s cover has a striking 3D embossing of Marilyn over the Seven Year Itch subway grate, which makes this the perfect coffee table book to be admired from every angle. It’s a must have for every Marilyn Monroe fan. Five stars!
