With participation in the Entertainment & Music Memorabilia auction at Heritage Auctions, I was lucky enough to add an item to my collection that I’d never dreamed I would own: Marilyn’s star lamp from Mexico, which hung in her Brentwood home.
I also won a group of photographs from the James Collins collection. Collins was a member of the Monroe Six, a group of New York based fans that regularly followed Marilyn to various locations. They were able to obtain countless candid images of the star. The lot I won consisted of thirty-eight original Marilyn Monroe photos taken at various times over the years. This was the only group of color images from the James Collins collection.
