April 2: New Collection Piece Added (and Marilyn Monroe Photo Mystery Solved)

For quite some time, Marilyn fans had debated whether or not a certain black and white photo of Marilyn was an actual image of her and not some Photoshop created art, which we tend to see more and more of these days. Conversations and discussions were often robust, with many people believing the photo actually wasn’t real.


Around the beginning of April, I came across a photo of Marilyn in the exact same dress from the debated photo, but this time it was in color, and the photo itself was up for auction at an obscure and not well known auction company in the mid-west. I registered to bid, and to my surprise was the only person bidding on the photo. I won it for $60.00.  The full image is below.
