The 2011 Marilyn Monroe Memorial Service: You Can Help Keep the Legend Alive

The 2011 Marilyn Monroe Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5 at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles. A reception following the memorial service will be held at the Andrew Weiss Gallery in Beverly Hills, not far from Westwood.

Please help keep the legend of Marilyn Monroe alive by contributing to the Marilyn Monroe Memorial Fund. The Marilyn Remembered Fan Club, the entity arranging the memorial service since 1982, is again offering fans around the world the opportunity to become personally involved in the memorial service by becoming a sponsor of the 2011 event. Please note that 100% of donations will be used to fund memorial service and reception expenses. The Marilyn Remembered fan club is charged a facility usage fee of $500 to hold the service in the chapel at Westwood Memorial Park, the same chapel where Marilyn’s actual funeral services were held. Other expenses include memorial service program printing costs, flowers for the service and Marilyn’s crypt, chairs for additional seating if needed, refreshments for the reception following the memorial service, etc.

Everyone donating to the Marilyn Monroe Memorial Fund will be acknowledged in the memorial service program.

Fans attending the service have never been charged an entrance fee in the 28 year history of the Marilyn Remembered Fan Club.
